Port Elizabeth is fortunate to have its very own speciality cheese shop which can be found in the delightful cobble stoned Amble In Complex in Walmer.
The Cheesehouse not only has a wonderful variety of over 50 cheeses, including a very popular Boerenkaas, made in our area which is excellent, but also has an excellent range and variety of other products which makes shopping for gifts a total pleasure! Custom made baskets and platters can also be ordered and for something different the gift can be presented on an individual cheese paddle!
The Cheesehouse will ensure a unique shopping experience as it introduces you to the delicious and varied world of cheese. The owners, Lesley and Bev, will guide and advise you to help you make the perfect choice of cheese for any occasion. The over 50 varieties include both imported and local cheeses and their most popular are the Italian Parmesans, fresh Ricottas, superb goats milk cheeses and the excellent Camembert which comes from the Natal Midlands. They are passionate about cheeses and are continually sourcing new varieties and products.
If you would like The Cheesehouse to host a cheese and wine evening speak to Lesley and Bev who will give you some ideas. They are also available to speak at functions and demos. Cheese tastings to accompany your wine evening can also be arranged.
If you are visiting Port Elizabeth a visit to The Cheesehouse should definitely be on your ‘To Do’ list!
